Leesburg... The Lakefront City

Leesburg The Lakefront City

Leesburg, Florida is one of the best-kept secrets in Central Florida, and those who live there, proudly claim it as home. From the serene surroundings, unique establishments, and thriving communities - it's no wonder so many love it. The easy pace and kick-back lifestyle is not only a good life but central to famous Daytona Beach, Orlando entertainment and so much more in just a short drive.

With more than 1,000 lakes and rivers in Lake County, it's the ecological star of Central Florida. One of these is Lake Harris, the largest in the Harris Chain of Lakes. Spanning nearly 13,800 acres, this sparkling waterway is a popular spot for those looking for a more natural break from the highly populated tourist attractions nearby. Lake Harris lies over 30 miles northwest of the city, just north of Lake Apopka.

Peppered with cypress trees and sand hills, Lake Harris is surrounded by a luxuriant landscape, every photographer's dream! Water sports from swimming, fishing, skiing, and seaplane rides are a well-loved pastime for all ages.

As with most of Florida’s lakes, fishing attracts many anglers to Lake Harris. Boat ramps on both the western and southern sides of the lake make it easy to drop anchor, and the fish are magnificent!

"If you're planning a move to Lake County, I would be delighted to help make the process easier, just give me a call -Sandy
